Lisa S Montgomery, M.Ed.

Lisa Montgomery is an Educational Diagnostician. After completing her bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M, Lisa began teaching kindergarten and first grade. She received her master’s degree from the University of Mary Hardin Baylor in Educational Psychology and began working as an educational diagnostician in the Arlington and Coppell ISDs. She furthered her training especially in the area of dyslexia and learning disorders as a member of the diagnostic staff at the Luke Waites Center for Dyslexia and Learning Disorders at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. After leaving Scottish Rite Hospital, Lisa worked on the clinical evaluation team at The Housson Center before beginning her own practice. Lisa has extensive knowledge in the diagnosis and treatment of learning disorders including dyslexia and has taught graduate courses in Literacy Assessment as an adjunct professor at Southern Methodist University.

Lisa provides advocacy and consultation services for families in addition to academic evaluations. She believes in strong collaboration between a student’s family, physician, educational team, and other treatment professionals to ensure the best outcomes. Lisa has worked with children and families for over twenty years in supporting student success.
